The Halton LINk is a member of the Dying Matters Coalition. The Coalition’s Mission is “to support changing knowledge, attitudes and behaviours towards death, dying and bereavement, and through this to make ‘living and dying well’ the norm".

The Halton LINk held a joint event with the Halton Carers' Centre on May 16th 2011 to mark 'Dying Matters Awareness Week' and to raise the profile of issues related to death, dying and bereavement.

The Dying Matters Coalition conducted the project to enable GPs to be better able to support their patients who want to have a conversation about end of life issues. This is one of a number of projects the Coalition is running as part of its work to raise awareness about dying, death and bereavement and improve end of life care.
